African Penguins
Commissioned for a charity Auction in aid of the African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary (APSS) by Wilfred Chivell from the Dyer Island Conservation Trust and Marine Dynamics.
This was the only Painting on Auction amongst amazing Marine themed Photographic pieces.
Our African Penguins have suffered a 98% decline in population over the past 100 years, and conservationists need all of the help they can get to secure a future for this species.
APSS serves as a rescue and rehabilitation facility for seasbirds found in distress in the Overstrand region.
This painting is sized A2, done in Watercolour and Indian Ink.
Fetched a high of R9000 at the Auction.
Proudly resides in Kleinbaai, in the Western Cape.

Donated to the Dignity SA -Life Immitates Art Auction in support of their assisted dying initiative.
The Auction was held in Hout Bay, and there was roughly 30 pieces of art from artists across South Africa.
Sold to and on display in the Hollywood Mansion in Cape Town.
